What Is The EvoJet Spark Evolution

What Makes A Jet Kart Different From A Jet Ski??
We probably get this question a lot when we mention that we rent jet karts, what even is a jet kart, and how do you explain it.  A jet kart takes everything you know about jet skis and re-defines it.  Instead of riding on top of the vessel like a motorcycle, you sit inside of it like a  go-kart.  You get a racing seat, a steering wheel and a roll bar.  All of this gives the vessel a lower center of gravity that makes it less prone to flips.  What is even better is the sense of control you have.  You no longer feel the anxiety of being top heavy, you’re fully in control which gives you the confidence to have fun as you should.

What Is It Though?  Who Came Up With It?
The Evo Jet Spark Evolution was designed by the company American Jet Concepts in Stuart Florida.  Originally designed by converting a Seadoo Spark Jet Ski, they technically have the same power, but are many times the fun.  The process of conversion is actually very simple as the top of the spark hull was designed to be removed for ease of access when working on the vessel.  The top is removed (the handlebars, the seat, etc.) and is replaced with a new proprietary fiberglass hull top.  The motorcycle style seat is now replaced with an NRG seat, the gauge cluster is now placed with-in the new steering wheel, and the steering mechanism is completely custom to accommodate the new steering wheel setup.  The entire process from fresh Seadoo Spark to Evo Jet Spark Evolution can be completed in just a few hours if you’re mechanically inclined.

Are They Fast??
Like I said in the paragraph before, the original Evo Jet Kart is a converted Sea Doo Spark.  Technically this would make it the exact same speed as the original spark.  What we have found though is that the feeling of going fast is much different.  Full speed on a jet ski vs full speed on a jet kart feels entirely different.  Because of this going all out on the jet karts feels much faster than on a jet ski, this coupled with the louder race car style noises of the free flowing exhaust makes these way more of a thrill.  American Jet Concepts has since released new models of the jet karts deemed “The Storm”.  This new jet kart is made completely from scratch and is no longer a conversion.  Now sporting new engine options ranging from 130HP to 200Hp, where as the original Spark Evolution had a measly 90HP.  I’m not sure about you guys, but I can’t wait to try a 200HP Jet Kart (Unfortunately these would not be safe for rentals with that much power, but they are a marvel to behold).
A Video of the new Evo Jet Storm can be seen below

So What Tricks Can You Do With These?
As a rental livery we can’t let people do anything deemed dangerous with any of our equipment.  And you definitely aren’t doing any backflips in these like people can do on some of the older stand-up jet skis.  What you can do though is some amazing donuts and spins.  These can turn on a dime, more so than any jet ski we have (we will be making a how to video on how to spin the karts. Safely.).  It’s a pretty amazing feeling to be able to power slide your vessel and not feel like it will flip, vs our jet skis where we have seen one too many over confident riders try the same and flip.  Tune in to see what cool things we plan on doing with these, they’re honestly like nothing else on the market.

In Conclusion.
Jet karts are amazing and they are here to stay.  American Jet Concepts has truly developed an amazing product and I hope no one else comes out with a similar design and tries to steal their thunder.  The last thing we need is a junky imitation on the market that ends up souring the industry.  We plan on adding Evo Jet Storm’s to our fleet as soon as we can, as we believe this is the future, and these crafts are many times over more fun than any jet ski.  We hope you guys agree and have as much fun on them as we do
